House of Representatives Magnet

This magnet features the historic House of Representatives Chamber in Old Parliament House.

Furnished in green to reflect Britain's House of Commons, the House of Representatives saw many firsts. In 1943, Dame Enid Lyons was the first woman elected to the House of Representatives. Queen Elizabeth II broke parliamentary protocol by sitting in the Speaker's Chair during the royal tour in 1954.
