Inspired by the award-winning picture book I am a Magpie I am a Currawong, this engaging card game is a delightful way to help children learn to identify Australian birds and bird families.
There are also 12 poem cards featuring the words from the book. These can be played with separately or in conjunction with the illustration cards. There is a lot of scope to make up play with these cards.
Other more traditional games that can be played include Snap, Memory, or Go Birding! (Go Fish!)
Each bird is illustrated using dry point etching and hand-coloured watercolour, making every card a mini artwork.
