MoAD's 2023 House Star is handmade by Canberra Glassworks artist-in-residence Hannah Gason using kiln forming techniques and cullet glass. Cullet glass is waste glass that has been remelted and recycled.
The ornament is inspired by the 7-point Commonwealth Star. Six of the star’s points represent the Australian states and the seventh point represents the territories.
The 2023 House Star is a 200-piece limited edition.
